After witnessing a surge in the cases of Covid-19, schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed till February 15, 2022. The Uttar Pradesh government official authorities have recently made an announcement regarding the further extension of online classes.

According to several media reports, an order was issued by the additional chief secretary (home) Avanish Awasthi stating that the closure of schools has been



extended from January 30 to February 15, 2021.

Further, Avanish Awasthi said that the online classes will continue due to the upcoming UP board exams. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is expected to conduct classes 10 and 12 board exams 2022 after March 10 after the election polls in the state. This decision to close schools was taken after reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state.
