After an extended summer vacation period, schools reopened today in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The Uttar Pradesh school summer vacation, initially scheduled to end on June 27, was extended due to the soaring temperatures.
However, the reopening date was subsequently deferred to July 3, as announced in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath.
Both private and government schools in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi resumed classes today. The decision to extend the vacation was made to safeguard children from the risk of sunstroke.
Office orders have emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness in school facilities, ensuring access to drinking water, and providing suitable seating arrangements for students.
