Delhi government schools to remian closed for winter vacation from January 1-12

As per the Delhi government's Directorate of Education, all government schools will remain closed for winter vacation from January 1 to January 12, 2023. The announcement was made on Thursday, Dec 22, 2022. Classes 9 to 12 will have 'remedial classes' between January 2 and January 14, 2023.

According to the order by the government, "Remedial classes will be held in separate wings of double-shift schools."

Evening Shift Schools can consult the DDE (District) and decide to change the time slot accordingly." The morning shift will begin at 8:30 am. and end at 12:50 pm. Whereas, the second shift will start at 01:30 pm and will conclude at 05:50 pm. Students in remedial classes also have recess time included in their schedule.

The duration of one period should not be less than one hour. There is a mandatory requirement for English, Science, and Math subjects to be taught daily in classes 9 and 10.
