After a summer vacation of more than a month, Delhi schools reopened on Friday. As Covid-19 cases are on a rise, schools have been instructed to ensure that all Covid-19 protocols are being strenuously followed. The schools in Delhi were closed on May 11, 2022, for summer vacation but classes continued till June 18, 2022, for Mission Buniyad.
At the same time, the Directorate of Education (DoE) and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) were directed by the Deputy Chief Minister
cum Education Minister, Manish Sisodia, on Thursday to continue the classes for Mission Buniyad for two additional months.
The deputy CM and education minister further said that classes for Mission Buniyad had been conducted on a war footing this year.
He added that the results of these classes have been splendid while also stating that it has played an important role to bridge the learning gap that widened in the last two years of the Covid-19 pandemic.
