In a bid to address the critical aspect of adolescent health and well-being, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is set to introduce an innovative comic book titled "Let's Move Forward." The launch event will take place at Kaushal Bhawan in New Delhi today.
A collaborative effort between the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the comic book has been meticulously designed to emphasise and advocate for the holistic health of adolescents. Its thematic alignment with the School Health and Wellness Programme (SHWP), an initiative under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, underscores its significance.
SHWP, a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Education and Health and Family Welfare, aims to provide health education,
disease prevention, and better access to healthcare services in schools.
The "Let's Move Forward" comic book intricately delves into essential topics related to adolescent health and well-being. With an interactive approach, it imparts vital life skills and health knowledge, equipping young individuals with the information they need to make informed choices.
Available in multiple languages, the comic book's launch carries optimistic implications for schools and health departments nationwide. It is anticipated to play a significant role in nurturing a generation that is both healthier and empowered.
The e-version of the "Let's Move Forward" comic book will be accessible through the official websites of the Ministry of Education, NCERT, UNESCO, and DIKSHA, offering widespread access to this valuable resource.
