The Telangana State Council of Higher Education will release Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) notification for admissions into various degree courses on May 9. Students can register online from May 10 to 27.

This year, registrations for DOST can be done through 76 helpline centres constituted across the State. Students can enroll through the website as well.

Speaking to press persons here on Thursday, Prof T Papi Reddy, Chairman, TSCHE, said the council had agreed in principle for allotment of management quota seats in private degree colleges in the State. A final

decision would be taken after discussing with Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy, he said.

Prof R Limbadri, Vice-Chairman-I, TSCHE and convenor, DOST, said special helpline centres would be established in the erstwhile district headquarters for addressing grievances of students, if any. DOST has been a successful model for admissions across the country. The admissions were being done as per roster system and merit secured by the candidates, he said, adding that last year, 88,000 students had registered with the DOST using mobile phones.
