The Telangana government on Tuesday announced that Eamcet -3 would be conducted between 10 am and 1 pm on September 11.
The Eamcet-2 examination, which has been marred by paper leak, has been cancelled. Urging parents and students to understand the situation and cooperate with the government in this difficult situation, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said, “We are taking this unfortunate decision to cancel Eamcet -2 as we do not have any other option.”
He directed the JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University) authorities to make foolproof arrangements for conducting the exam in a fair manner and complete the process of counseling within the scheduled time. JNTU Registrar Prof N Yadaiah has been appointed Eamcet-3 convenor.
Meanwhile, Telangana State Council
for Higher Education Chairman T Papi Reddy said that a detailed schedule on the announcement of results and counseling would be notified after the conclusion of the Eamcet committee meeting.
Earlier in the day at a review meeting on the progress in the probe into Eamcet-2 paper leak, the Chief Minister instructed Telangana State Higher Education Council, Health University and JNTU to finalize the schedule for the conduct of the exam at the earliest.
He instructed the authorities to allow candidates to Eamcet-3 on the old hall tickets (Eamcet -2) without collecting any fee. He wanted them to ensure free bus facility to aspirants on the exam day and make available online study material and question bank with answers on the JNTU website.
