Admissions to the BSc forestry course across the state will now take place through Eamcet starting from the 2018-19 academic year.
The order in this regard was issued by the state government on Friday amending Eamcet rules and included the BSc forestry course.
“Candidates seeking admission into four-year BSc forestry course should have passed or appeared for the final year Inter exam or any exam recognised as equivalent by the BIE to be eligible. Also, Biology, Physics and Chemistry or Mathematics,
Biology, Physics and Chemistry are a must have for the candidates,” read the GO.
Also, irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying exam, candidates seeking admission to the BSc (forestry) course should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in Eamcet. Also, they should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.
The upper age limit for appearing for the examination is 22 years for General and BC candidates and 25 years for SC and ST candidates.
