The Admission Committee has completed arrangements for conducting the second phase counseling for the engineering entrants this year. Steps have been taken to initiate counseling from 6th of this month. Out of the 186 engineering colleges in the state, 64,946 seats were in the convenor's quota, while 52,621 seats were allotted in the first phase of counseling last month. Another 12,325 seats were vacant. 38,705 students who have received seats are self-reporting and have been admitted to
colleges.
This included 26,241 seats in the convenience quota, including vacant seats and students joining seats. Counseling for the second phase will be held from July 6. The committee has decided to conduct the third stage counseling for engineering entries this time. However, IIT, NIT and EEE admissions will be completed by July 19. Admission camp officer Srinivas revealed that the third phase of counseling would be held subsequently.
