Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has decided to conduct a meeting with the state education secretaries from across the country tomorrow, May 17. The meeting will be conducted in a virtual mode in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal is conducting this meeting with all the state education secretaries tomorrow to review the impact of Covid-19 on the education system of India, as the schools and colleges have been closed for nearly one year



now.

As per the official statement made by the Ministry of Education, in the virtual meeting, the minister will also review the promotion of online education and implementation of the New Education policy apart from the Covid-19 impact on education.

The statement further read, “The top agenda of the meeting will be the COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on education, promotion of online education, implementation of the New Education policy and preparation made by states.”
