President Droupadi Murmu emphasised the need to encourage women to pursue higher education to achieve India’s goal of becoming the most developed nation by 2047. Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV), Murmu urged educational institutions and teachers to support and guide women toward self-reliance and personal growth.

Highlighting that women constitute half of the population, she



stressed their vital role in national development. Murmu noted the significant presence of female meritorious students at the ceremony, surpassing their male counterparts in academic achievements.

Reflecting on Devi Ahilyabai's 300th birth anniversary, the president praised the ruler's contributions to administration, women empowerment, and education, drawing a parallel to the importance of education for women in today’s world.
