Hyderabad: The final phase of web-based counselling for admissions into engineering and pharmacy courses through Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test will be held on July 29 and 30. The candidates, who could not attend the counselling in the first phase certificate verification process, can attend on July 29 and can simultaneously exercise their option of the college.
In the first phase of counselling, a total of 9,321 candidates failed to get seats in the courses opted by them. In the wake of it, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education urged the candidates to exercise as many options as possible to facilitate allocation of seats basing on the rank each one
got.
“There are still over 32,000 seats remaining vacant after first phase. Nearly 4,000 candidates may not report to the colleges. There is no cap on exercising options,” said B Srinivas, Eamcet, Camp Officer. The authorities said those, who already attended the first phase of counselling and allotted seats, may attend the second phase of counselling too.
But they should report to the colleges they would be allotted in the second phase of counselling. The seats allotted in the first phase of counselling to such candidates would be given to students next in line. The final phase of seat allotment will be made on July 31 and candidates should report to the colleges on August 1.
