The State-run Gandhi Hospital has received permission for three post-graduate medical seats in hospital administration.This is for the first time that Medical Council of India (MCI) has sanctioned PG medical seats in Hospital Administration in any government hospital in Telangana.
Post graduate medical seats in hospital administration will have a positive impact on management of State-run
hospitals. A separate Hospital Administrative wing will provide training in leadership, management and administration of public health systems in Telangana, senior doctors here said.
At present, State-run teaching hospitals including Osmania and Gandhi in Hyderabad and Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal offer 677 PG medical seats, and, NIMS every year offers 72 PG seats.
