HYDERABAD: In connection with Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad teachers' constituency polls to be held on March 9, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in cooperation with various district administrations is making arrangements for conduct of the polls.
As many as 12 candidates are in the fray. The polling process will start at 8 am and end at 6 pm. Counting of votes will be taken up from 8 am on March 20 at Victory playground, Chaderghat and results would be announced the same day.
About 23,789 teachers are listed as voters for Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Teachers constituency.
Of them, 13,069 are men and 10,719 are women voters and others one.

officer B Janardhan Reddy said the government has decalred holiday on March 8 and 9 to schools, colleges and government buildings where polling stations are located. The teachers who are having voting rights can avail holiday on Thursday to exercise their franchise.
NOTA option is provided in the ballot paper. In all the polling stations, two voting compartments will be provided for speedy voting. Randomisation of polling personnel has been taken up as per the instructions of ECI in the presence of Election Observer, Rajath Kumar, principal secretary to Labour and Employment. Government has declared dry day within the poling area up to March 9.Voters can avail the web facility to know the location of their polling station on CEOs.
