After the release of the notification updated on May 13, the board further notified that the opportunity to appear for the exams is extended to all the students even if they were given this opportunity earlier.

The board was also informed that some schools are not providing the students with an opportunity to appear for the re-exams to improve their final scores. CBSE has insisted that all schools must comply with their decision regarding

the improvement exams.

According to the notice released by CBSE, a lot of schools are not complying with the directions issued by the board and not giving failed class 9 and 11 students an opportunity to appear for the exams again and improve their final scores.

The notice released by CBSE reads, “It has also come to the notice that schools are therefore not extending the opportunity to the failed students of Class 9th and 11th.”

CBSE has also mentioned that the improvement exams for Class 9 and 11 students can be conducted online or offline, depending on the convenience of the students and the schools. The schools will have to promote the students on the bases of the scores in these exams.
