Hyderabad: Starting this year, the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET) will be computer based. To this effect, the Osmania University which has been entrusted with the conduct of the entrance test by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has released the notification. According to the notification, the TS EdCET will be held online on May 31 and June 1.
This apart, the entrance test will be also held in Urdu medium. The candidates who opt for Urdu will have questions both in English and Urdu. So far, the examination had questions in English and Telugu only.The online submission of application forms can be done through the website http://edcet.tsche.ac.in and the last date to apply without a late fee is April 20. The candidates can
register online with a late fee of Rs.500 and Rs.2,000 till April 30 and May 15 respectively. Similarly, registrations can be done under tatkal with a late fee of Rs.5,000 till May 25. The registration fee is Rs.650 and for SC/ST candidates it is Rs.450.
Candidates who submitted their applications can correct their data till May 5. The hall tickets can be downloaded from May 21 to 26. The entrance test will be held in two sessions i.e. from 10 am to 12 noon and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm The OU will release the preliminary key on June 3 and the last date for submitting objections is June 5. The results will be declared on June 11. The TS EdCET is conducted for admissions into two year regular B.Ed courses in the Colleges of Education across the State.
