Amid Covid-19, several cities have started reopening schools with Covid-19 SOPs. Similar was the case with Ludhiana, however, the Deputy Commissioner has ordered to close a government senior secondary school Chaunta till March 2 after two of its staff members along with 15 students tested positive for coronavirus.
"The district administration closed Government Senior Secondary School, Chaunta, till March 2 after 15 students and two staff members tested
positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday," the district administration said, as reported by ANI.
All the infected students and the staff members have been sent into isolation. Students of classes 5 to 12 are going to schools since January 7 in Punjab with strict Covid-19 SOPs.
Principals and school teachers were directed to reach out to the parents through various means of communication including public address systems to make them aware of safety norms.
