Gujarat schools to reopen for students of class 10-12 from Jan 11, attendance voluntary

Schools and colleges in Gujarat will reopen on January 11, 2021. Schools will be reopening for classes 10 and 12 while colleges will be reopening only for final year students from undergraduate and postgraduate colleges. The official notice has been passed by the state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.

"Covid-19 pandemic related Standard



Operating Protocols(SOPs) and consent of parents will be mandatory to attend class in person," education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama added.

He said that attendance will not be compulsory for students. Moreover, he once again denied any possibility of granting mass promotion to students.

He said the exams will be conducted for whatever syllabus taught.
