Himachal Pradesh University suspends classes till August 19 amid heavy rains

Amid heavy rainfall in the state, Himachal Pradesh University has taken the decision to suspend classes till August 19. The university has issued a notice for the same.

According to the notice, the decision has been taken keeping in mind the security of the students. All educational activities will remain closed till August 19 and the library of the university will remain closed till August 20,

The notice reads, "Due to torrential rains, various landslides, blockage of roads, and keeping in view the safety and security of the students, the Vice-chancellor has ordered that the teaching activities in H.P. University will remain suspended till August 19."

However, as per the notice, the teaching and non-teaching staff will continue to attend the university as usual.
