HRD Minister announces CBSE pupils of classes 1 to 8 get promoted without exams, classes 9 & 11 on basis of internal assessment

HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal announced on Wednesday that he has asked CBSE to promote all CBSE students studying in classes 1 to 8 to the next class in view of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The HRD Minister shared a series of tweets from his official Twitter handle which also stated that CBSE had also been



asked to promote all students of classes 9 and 11 on the basis of internal assessment marks in school.

"Students studying in classes IX & XI will be promoted to next class/grade based on the school-based assessments including projects, periodic tests, term exams, etc. conducted so far," said the HRD minister.
