HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank met the education ministers of all states in India today through a video conference to discuss what steps need to be taken to smoothen the education process further during the Covid-19 lockdown.

A major question being discussed again and again is how to deal with the remaining board exams, especially the CBSE board exams and how to carry out answer sheet evaluation for the exams that are already over.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank appealed to the education minister of all the

states to start the paper evaluation process of the various state board exams as it has been pending for a long time.

He also asked the ministers to help CBSE carry out the paper evaluation process of students in the respective states.

During the video conference with the state education ministers, the HRD Minister also informed that on the request of Ministry of HRD, the Ministry of Home Affairs has relaxed the lockdown rules to open the bookstores so that students can avail books to continue their studies.
