Union Minister for Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar has said, that his ministry will soon decide on registration of 20 universities of national importance which are aspired to be world class. Talking about establishing 20 world-class universities in a function in Pune yesterday, Mr. Javadekar said, there will be 10 government and 10 private universities in the
list.
The HRD Minister said there are 40 per cent vacancies of faculty members in central universities and IITs and observed that the process of recruitment needs to be streamlined in order to bring in good faculty members.
The Minister also assured students that India is getting better research experiment labs which will encourage them to stay in the country.
