The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued a recruitment notification for Regional Rural Banks for the post of Officers and Office Assistant.

Candidates should be between the age group of 18 and 30 for the Office Assistant and for Officer, the candidate should be above 21 years of age. The online application started on June 18 and the last date is July 4, 2019. 

The application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 600 and for SC/ST it is Rs 100. The application fee can only be paid online.

The eligibility criteria for an interested candidate is that he/she should possess a bachelor's degree from a recognised university under the UGC.

As per IBPS website, there are at least 12,000 vacancies of which more than 7,000 vacancies for Office Assistant.

The online test is divided into two parts: preliminary and



main, and selected candidates will be called for a face-to-face interview. 

The online preliminary examination for Office Assistant will be held on the following days: July 17, 18, and 25 and main online exams will be conducted on September 29. The expected date for results for the office assistant is in the month of September 2019 for preliminary exams, whereas, for main exams, the results will be declared in October 2019.

The online preliminary exam for Officer will be conducted on the following dates: August 3, 4 and 11 and the second part of online examinations will be on September 22. The expected date for results for the prelimnary exam is August 2019 and for main it is October 2019.

The pay scale for RRB Office assistant is Rs 16,250 approximately per month and the assistant has to undergo training period of one year. The pay scale of Officer-Scale 1 is approximately Rs 29,000.
