Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has invited applications for admission to MTech/ MDes courses under the Research Assistantship through Project (RAP). 

Interested and eligible candidates can register on the official website of the institute by October 29, 2023.

The institute has a centralised online application portal for the MTech admission. Interested candidates are requested to visit the official website for the application format and the submission link. Applications will be accepted through this portal only.

Admissions are open for various courses offered in BTech such as Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Design and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Courses in Design are offered by the department of Design at IIT Hyderabad. Master of Design



(MDes) course is a 2-year full-time programme that aims to provide a broad understanding of design along with student-driven specialisations in Visual Design, Product Design, and Interaction Design.

The candidates need to have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination including Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design or equivalent, professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT) or equivalent of a 4-year programme, BFA, Master's degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications.

Selection process in MDes will be based on the qualifying exam Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). The candidate will be shortlisted for Design Aptitute Test (DAT) based on the CEED score. The final selection is a two-step process. Shortlisting for the interview will be done based on the portfolio review and DAT exam.
