India set to host International Astronomy Olympiad 2025

India is set to host the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA)in August 2025. The announcement was made on the official Facebook handle of Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, TIFR on August 27, 2024, on their official Facebook account. The registration for the National Science Olympiad Program in India is underway.

The announcement was made on the official Facebook page of the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, stating, "India will host #IOAA2025! The 18th



International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics will be held in Mumbai, India in August 2025, with @HBCSE_TIFR leading the efforts. The IOAA flag was officially handed over to the Indian team during the IOAA 2024 closing ceremony. Stay tuned!"

Additionally, India achieved great success at the 17th IOAA 2024 in Vassouras, Brazil, winning 1 Gold and 4 Silver medals.

Eligible candidates can register for the first stage, the National Standard Examination (NSE), until September 14, 2024.
