In a remarkable show of support, Nandan Nilekani, Co-Founder and Chairman of Infosys Ltd., has made a generous donation of INR 315 crores ($38.5 million) to his alma mater, the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

This substantial contribution further solidifies Nilekani's commitment to the institute, following his previous grants of INR 85 crores, bringing his cumulative support to an astounding INR 400 crores.

The donation aims to enhance infrastructure, foster



cutting-edge research in emerging areas of engineering and technology, and foster a vibrant startup ecosystem within IIT Bombay.

The Memorandum of Understanding, formalising the donation, was signed by Nandan Nilekani and Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of IIT Bombay.

This remarkable act of philanthropy serves as a cornerstone in IIT Bombay's ambitious pursuit to become a global leader among engineering and technology institutes, actively contributing to the nation's development.
