Hyderabad: The first-year intermediate public examinations in the State are all set to commence from October 25, Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said on Thursday.

After holding a review meeting on the inter first year exams with officials concerned, the Minister said over 4.5 lakh students are expected to appear for the exams. Earlier, these students were promoted to the second year due to the



Covid-19 pandemic.

The number of exam centres have been increased to 1,750 and isolation rooms would be arranged in all centres in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, she said, adding that 25,000 invigilators would be deployed for the exam works.

The Minister also asked private junior college managements to cooperate in conducting the first-year exams.
