Hyderabad: Candidates appearing for Intermediate Public Examination (IPE), which commences on Wednesday, will not be allowed inside the examination hall if they are late by even a minute, said A Ashok Kumar, Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education.

Detailing the arrangements being made for conducting the exams here on Sunday, Kumar said, “Students have to keep in mind that one minute late rule will be implemented strictly.”

The examinations begin from March 1 in 1,291 examination centres across the State and candidates can download hall tickets from the official website ‘bietelangana.cgg.gov.in‘.

The first year exam schedule starts on March 1 and second year exams on March 2. “First year exams will conclude on March 17 and second year on March 19,” he said, adding that the second year exam which was scheduled on March 9 was postponed to March 19 due to Teacher MLC elections.

“A total of 9,76,631 candidates will appear for examination this year, including 4,75,832 students for first year and 5,00,799 students for the second year,” Kumar said. Candidates will be



allowed into the exam hall one hour before the commencement of test and will not be allowed to leave till the end.

The Board is also coordinating with the TSRTC for plying additional buses for the candidates and also with the Medical and Health department for deployment of para-medical nurses at the exam centres to provide emergency medical facility to the students, if needed.

Kumar has instructed the candidates to carefully verify the correctness on hall tickets and inform the college prinicpal if any discrepancy is noticed. “Criminal cases will be registered against the candidates resorting to copying/ malpractice/ impersonation and they will be debarred from the examination,” he cautioned.

App to guide students

Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari will launch a mobile application on Monday which will help candidates locate their examination centre by entering the hall ticket number. Once the hall ticket number is entered, the app will guide the students reach the centre through navigation system. It will also indicate the nearby landmarks and photograph of the building.
