Jamia Hamdard has taken certain measures to mitigate the impact of lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic. University has advanced its summer vacations to run parallel with the Covid-19 lockdown starting from 15th April to 15th May 2020. The university is set to open from May 18, after the lockdown period is over.
All Deans have been instructed to ensure that through online teaching 100% syllabus is completed during vacation period. All internal assessments will be done through online mode. The University has also decided that all thesis and project reports submitted
during this period will be put to plagiarism check.
Ph.D. students will be given extra 6 months to submit their theses to make up their losses for lockdown. All exams that are to be held will be completed by 31st May and for the rest of the students classes will commence from 1st June 2020.
These decisions will come into effect after assessing the situation of the coronavirus outbreak in the nation. As per the rules of the lockdown, all educational institutes will remain closed till May 3, 2020 for the safety of students and the general public.
