The IIT Joint Admission Board announced on Sunday that the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) would go online from 2018.Errors this year in the question paper of the JEE (Advanced), which students take for admission to IITs, prompted the change, officials said. An online test would help
prevent mistakes and avert situations like the one last year when the admission board reportedly gave 18 bonus marks to candidates who took the JEE Advanced because of printing and translation errors in the question paper.More than1.5 lakh took the test in 2017.
