Jharkhand schools and colleges are reopening from March 1, as per the state government’s decision. State Chief Minister Hemant Soren conducted a meeting along with the Jharkhand State Disaster Management Authority wherein the decision was taken. The reopening of ITI Training has also been allowed from February 25 onwards. This is because students will need to appear for the exams.
Class 8 and above will also be able to attend school. However, students will need
parental consent to appear for physical classes after entering the school premises.
Moreover, state universities have also been allowed to work as per the guidelines of the UGC.
The Jharkhand government has issued standard operating procedures for reopening schools and colleges which need to be followed mandatorily.
Students, teachers and non-teaching staff will need to maintain social distancing, and wear face masks all day during the classes.
