The Karnataka government has announced that it plans to start the new academic year for schools from July 15, keeping in mind the covid-19 situation.
"We are planning to start the next academic year for schools from July 15. We have to keep in mind the covid situation as well," Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar told
reporters.
The minister further added that the state government will consult the experts before deciding whether Bhagawad Gita should be included in the school curriculum or not.
Referring to a report by Premji University, which said that children are lagging in maths in the absence of offline/Physical classes, he said the state must take care of their health and education.
