Tamil Nadu school students will get the lessons on television from August 1 in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. State Education Minister KA Sengottiyan on Thursday said that the lessons will be aired through 14 channels.
As per reports, the syllabus and re-opening of schools would be decided by an 18-member
expert committee. The minister made the announcement at Nambiyur village in Erode district, where he inaugurated developmental works worth Rs 2 crore.
A total of 52 lakh students have been given laptops free of cost, he said, adding that the Chief Minister K Palaniswami has already inaugurated the televised classes.
