The 18th Lok Sabha Elections are set to occur in seven phases, starting from April 19 to June 1, with vote counting slated for June 4.
In light of this electoral process, several institutes, including the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and the National Testing Agency, have adjusted their exam schedules to align with the Lok Sabha Elections. The UPSC has postponed the civil services (prelims) exam to June 16 from its original date of May 26, due to the upcoming elections.
There were many speculations and rumours about the change of exam schedule of the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG)
2024 due to the Lok Sabha elections. Recently, UGC chairman, Jagadesh Kumar Mamidala announced that the CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted as announced earlier, and there will be no change because of the Lok Sabha election schedule. The CUET UG 2024 date sheet will be released after the registration process. The testing agency has scheduled the undergraduate admission entrance exam tentatively from May 15 to 31.
On the other side, The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 session 2 from April 4 to 15 and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG (NEET-UG) for May 5. There are many speculations and rumours about the alteration of the exam schedule.
