Lucknow schools to remain shut till January 6 amid severe cold weather

Due to the prevailing cold wave and heavy fog, the Lucknow district administration declared the suspension of classes for students in classes 1 to 8 until January 6. Following the directive from the District Education Officer, Ram Pravesh, acting upon the orders of the district magistrate, a winter break has been officially announced for all schools in Lucknow district, extending until January



6.

"Regarding the above-mentioned matter, you are aware that at present a cold wave is going on in the entire state including the Lucknow district and it is extremely cold. Following the instructions given by the District Magistrate, you are ordered to ensure leave for all the children studying in school from pre-primary to class 8 till January 6, 2024," read the official order.
