The Maharashtra State Council for Educational Research has recently launched four YouTube channels primarily to help Marathi and Urdu medium students study from home. The channels were launched for students up to class 10, according to the announcement made by School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.
The education minister also said that the channels are currently focussing on students of Marathi and Urdu medium but will later expand to English and Hindi languages as
well.
In her official tweet, Varsha Gaikwad said, “The State Council for Educational Research and Training has started four YouTube channels for Marathi and Urdu medium students from 1st to 10th standard. Coming soon for Hindi and English mediums as well.”
The channels were launched along with the 12 channels that were launched on Geo TV by the Maharashtra government for students of classes 3 to 12. This made Maharashtra the first state which has started educational channels in four mediums.
