MCC adds over 600 seats for round 2 of NEET UG 2024

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 614 seats for the second round of NEET UG 2024 counselling. Details regarding these additional medical seats have been updated on the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling.

Seven NEET UG seats have been added across five medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, seven seats in four colleges in Maharashtra, and 600 seats in eight colleges in Telangana. While the seats in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra are open to all genders, 50 percent of the seats in Telangana are reserved for females only.

A total of 6,947 virtual vacancies have been announced for round 2 admissions to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs. These virtual seats have been added across various colleges in West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Punjab, Puducherry, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Jharkhand,



Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Delhi (NCT), Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Bihar, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

On September 7, the MCC of DGHS announced that four universities had been granted 'Deemed to be University' status by the UGC. In accordance with the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India's directions in W.P (C) No. 267/2017, "Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust and Ors. Vs. Medical Council of India & Ors.," the seats from the following colleges are now included in the seat matrix for Round 2 of UG Counselling 2024, in the larger interest of candidates.

The following medical institutions in Hyderabad offer various seats: Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences (200 seats), Malla Reddy Medical College for Women (200 seats), Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences (100 seats), and Malla Reddy Dental College for Women (100 seats).
