Ministry of Education begins 2023-24 registration process for NMM scholarship

The Department of School Education and Literacy, which comes under the Ministry of Education, has initiated the application process for the National Merit cum Means Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the academic year 2023-24. This scholarship will be given to meritorious students of Classes 9 to 12 who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Candidates can submit



their applications on the official National Scholarship Portal (NSP) website, i.e., scholarships.gov.in before any delays.

Applicants must note that the application deadline for the scholarship is November 30, 2023. The primary aim of this initiative is to combat the high dropout rate among students after Class 8, encouraging them to pursue their education at the secondary level.
