After the CBSE board exams were postponed for class 12 and cancelled for class 10 on Wednesday, the central government took the decision to postponed NEET PG 2021 which was scheduled to be held on April 18. The final NEET exam date will be decided later on.

Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan took to twitter to declare the news.

“Decision has been

taken keeping wellbeing of our young medical students in mind,” he wrote.

The sudden rise of Covid-19 cases in the second wave made 11 states shut down their schools as of now and declare lockdowns in varying effects. Due to the mobility issues created due to this, the NEET candidates were under a lot of pressure as many had their NEET exam centres in neighbouring states instead of their home state.
