New NCERT textbooks for students under NEP will see additions of various texts such as on world history, Vedic math and Bhagawad Gita shlokas.

Information on Greek history, religious reformation and old schools of India will also be added in higher secondary classes .

The syllabi for Classes 1 and 2 are almost ready and books for these two classes will likely be commissioned for printing in August 2023.

The steering



committee of national curriculum framework (NCF) finalised the national curriculum framework 20 days ago under the national education policy (NEP).

Various aspects of the syllabus were discussed at a meeting.

These books will be published in many regional languages apart from the main three -- English, Hindi and Urdu.

Please note these will be new books than the ones already printed as per the rationalised NCERT syllabus.
