The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued guidelines for medical colleges seeking to introduce new postgraduate qualifications. Institutions must consult the relevant board and follow a detailed application process, including submitting the required fees.
Medical colleges looking to introduce new MD/MS, DM/MCh, PDF, PDCC, or six-year DM/MCh programs must first seek guidance from the relevant board. Once
the board provides an appropriate response, the institution can proceed with submitting their formal proposal and the required fee.
According to the National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations, 2023, medical institutions offering undergraduate, postgraduate, or super-specialty qualifications can apply to the concerned board for the inclusion of any new qualifications not yet listed.
