MBBS abroad aspirants who have applied for an eligibility certificate must review the applications as the National Medical Commission (NMC) has opened a correction window for the applicants. Applicants whose application forms are found incomplete will be rejected. The deficiencies must be addressed before the deadline.
The registration division of NMC has identified errors in several applications and notifies students through the official portal. The commission also urged the applicants to make the necessary corrections to avoid any delays, stating that timely updates would help speed up
the approval process.
As per the regulations, Indian students must obtain an EC before enrolling in foreign medical institutions. Previously, the NEET-UG 2019 has been considered sufficient proof of eligibility.
NMC also indicated that some of the students have travelled abroad without securing the certificate.
With a solution, the NMC has granted additional time to applicants listed in Annexure-I. They must rectify deficiencies within seven days of the public notice. Applications that remain incomplete beyond the deadline will be rejected.
