The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday introduced a new platform where students can report any untoward incidents regarding the NEET-UG examination. Authorities discussed the move being taken to protect against fraudulent groups, who seek to mislead young students.
The platform arrives as a cautious step, prompted by reports of irregularities and murmurs of a paper leak in the past year’s examination. The NTA urges candidates to beware of false promises and to stand clear of wicked attempts at malpractice.
Director General of NTA Pradeep Singh Kharola added that
candidates could file complaints about three things - unauthorised websites or social media handles who are claiming NEET papers ownership, people who claim access to test material, and impersonators claiming to represent NTA or the government.
“The form of report is simple. Students may set down what they saw, where it occurred, and attach any proofs,” Kharola said.
He added that this effort is in keeping with the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, crafted to remove foul practices from public examinations. The NEET-UG exam is appointed to be held on May 4.
