The Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered that all schools and colleges in the state will remain closed till June 17. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Outbreak, the Odisha state government has announced an extension of the lockdown. The Pan-India lockdown was imposed on March 24, 2020, to stop the spread of Coronavirus. As per orders of the CM, the state will be in



lockdown till April 30, 2020.

The state government has earlier announced that the students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 will be promoted to the next class without appearing for their annual examination.

Odisha Cabinet decides for extension and also recommends to union government to do the same," the state government said in a statement.
