As the schools have remained closed due to the rising cases of Covid-19, the government of Odisha has decided to start teaching the students of Classes one to eight of government-run institutes will be taught through the medium of radio from Monday i.e. September 28, 2020.

The information of this new initiative was confirmed by School and Mass Education Minister Samir Rajan Dash.

The "Radio Pathsala" programme will be conducted on regular basis from Monday to Friday between 10 am to 10:15 am from



September 28, informed Samir Ranjan Dash said on Saturday.

In these radio classes, the lessons will be held for two classes every day and they will be aired through all radio stations of Odisha.

Students can also get this audio programme in the central government's DIKSHA online platform.

Students are also being imparted online classes through smartphones, the minister said. Earlier, the state government had decided to reduce the syllabus by 30 per cent for the 2020-21 academic year.
