The law students of Osmania University and affiliated law colleges on Tuesday requested the university administration to consider rescheduling the LLB third semester examinations, which are currently set to take place from March 27 to April 9, 2025.

The request comes as the examination dates coincide with several significant cultural and religious events, including Ugadi, Ramzan (Eid-ul-Fitr), Jamat-ul- Vida, and Ram Navami.

To this effect, the All India Lawyers Union (AILU), along with the Law Students Federation of India (LSFI), led by General Secretary, Telangana State Committee, K Pardhasaradhi submitted a memorandum to

the Controller of Examinations, Dr Sashikanth, and OSD to the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Jitender Kumar.

The memorandum highlights the students’ concerns and requests a revised schedule.

“For many students, these festivals hold a lot of significance, often involving travel to their hometowns to be with family. In particular, outstation students staying in university hostels and private hostels across Hyderabad face the added challenge of balancing travel and academic preparation during this period. Recognising these concerns, students are hoping for a compassionate and student-friendly resolution from the university,” they added.
