Osmania University to hold convocation in March/April 2018

The Osmania University (OU) administration has decided to hold the convocation as part of the centenary celebrations.

According to estimates of the varsity administration, about 1,600 PhD scholars are eligible for awarding degrees besides over 500 gold medals would be presented to students who have excelled in their streams.“The process has begun and notification will be issued in the first week of February,” Prof S Ramachandram,



Vice-Chancellor, OU, said.

A notification will be released by the university administration in February and convocation will be held either in last week of March or first week of April.

Depending on the number of students participating in the ceremony, the university intends to finalise either ‘A’ Ground which hosted the inaugural ceremony of centenary celebrations or Tagore Auditorium.
