The first day of the TS EAMCET, 2018 examination on Wednesday in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has been conducted smoothly with more than 90 per cent of candidates appearing for the test which was conducted through Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode introduced for the first time.
EAMCET Convenor Prof N Yadaiah said that as per the schedule, the common entrance test was conducted for Agriculture & Medical (AM) in two shifts i.e., forenoon from 10 am to 1 pm and afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm.
In the forenoon session, 21,774 candidates had appeared out of 23,808 registered, recording 91.46 per cent attendance. The
test was conducted at 67 centres in Telangana and eight test centres in Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, in the afternoon session, a total of 22,671 candidates appeared out of 24,743 registered, recording a 91.63 per cent attendance.
He said in Telangana, the highest number of candidates appeared in Warangal zone with 96.26 per cent. The second highest number of candidates had given their examination in Nizamabad zone. Of the 10 zones in Telangana, more than 90 per cent of the registered candidates appeared for the test in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam and Nalgonda zones.
