Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the 125th Foundation Day celebrations of Scindia School in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh today, October 21. The prestigious school, nestled within the historic Gwalior Fort, was founded by the Scindia family in 1897.
In addition to his address, Modi will also lay the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art multipurpose sports complex at the school. This is a significant step towards enhancing the sporting facilities available to students and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will present the school's annual awards to distinguished alumni and top
achievers.
The Scindia School was established in 1897 by the then-Gwalior royalty and is located atop the historic Gwalior Fort. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, a descendant of the former royal family, stands as a prominent political figure in Madhya Pradesh.
The state is gearing up for assembly polls scheduled on November 17.
''We are fortunate that the prime minister will come and grace the occasion of the 125th anniversary of our country's leading institution - the Scindia School. We are all grateful that he is visiting our organisation. I thank the PM for taking time out from his busy schedule for this programme,'' says Scindia.
