Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on August 28, 2023, distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters under the 8th edition of the Rozgar Mela. The letters have been distributed to the newly appointed recruited government departments and organisations, through video conferencing.

The Rozgar Mela was held across 45 locations in the country. In his virtual address, PM Modi mentioned that several changes have been made in the recruitment process of para-military forces.

As part of the Mission Recruitment initiative, both the Central government and certain states/UTs have been collaboratively conducting Rozgar Melas nationwide, resulting in the distribution of job offer letters to



numerous youths on a monthly basis.

The Rozgar Mela was organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs and facilitated the recruitment of personnel from diverse Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including CRPF, BSF, Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), along with Delhi Police.

According to the official announcement, these fresh appointees will contribute to the nation's service by taking up roles across different CAPFs. Selected from different parts of the country, these new recruits will join positions like Constable (General Duty), Sub-Inspector (GD), and Non-GD Cadre Posts across various organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
